على نحو متزايد، نرى فاحشو الثراء يحفظون أموالهم في شكل أسهم شركات، ولا يحفظونها في البنوك ولا في القطاع العقاري، وهذا يعني أن أموالهم (التي هي مصدر قوتهم ونفوذهم) موجودة هنا في شوارعنا، وفي متناول أيدينا، فالشركات ليست سوى آلات تملكها النخبة المالية لتوليد الثروة المنظمة، وهذه الآلات تعمل بطريقة واحدة فقط، لا تعمل بغيرها، وهذه الطريقة هي “موافقتكم” التي تعطونها لهم إما صراحة أو ضمنا.
ومن المؤكد أن النخب تعرف هذا، حيث بالتأكيد يعرفون أن تنظيمهم لأموالهم من خلال الشركات لهو بمثابة إخفاء لهذا الأموال على مرأى من الجميع، وهذا يجعلهم يشعرون بالأمان حيث أن انتباهكم منصرف عنهم، فانتباهكم مشتت عنهم من خلال خدعة الحكومات وقوات الأمن، وبالتالي لا يمكنكم رؤية نقاط الضعف الهائلة في هيكل سلطتهم القائمة حولكم في كل مكان: شاحناتهم ووسائل نقلهم، ومراكز التوزيع التابعة لهم، ومصانعهم، ومرافق التخزين والمكاتب الخاصة والمحلات التجارية والمخازن والمقرات، وصناع القرار لديهم ومديريهم التنفيذيين وموظفيهم الرئيسيين، وسلاسل توريدهم ومقدمي خدماتهم اللوجستية… فثرواتهم منتشرة في كل مكان أمامكم بشكل يومي في قبو مفتوح في الهواء الطلق، وفي وسعكم استنزاف هذا القبو في أي لحظة، وفي أي مكان، وبالعديد من الوسائل.
ومرة ثانية دعوني أقولها لكم واضحة صريحة، هؤلاء ليس في إمكانهم أن يعملون أو يتربحون إلا بموافقتنا وقبولنا… وهذا شيء لابد أن ندركه، فنحن لسنا فقط المستهلكين والعمال، ولكننا أيضا المواطنين! فشاحناتهم تمر لأننا نسمح لها بالمرور، ومحلاتهم مفتوحة لأننا لا نغلقها، وسلاسل توريدهم تعمل لأننا نسمح بهذا، ومكاتبهم ومرافقهم تعمل لأننا اخترنا ألا نغلقها، ونحن نتخذ هذا القرار دون أن ندرك هذا، وبمجرد أن ندرك أن الأمر كله قرار، سنكتشف وقتها مدى القوة التي نمتلكها.
والهدف كما كتبت مرارًا وتكرارًا، ليس هو تدمير الشركات أو طردهم من البلاد، ولكن الهدف هو أن تكون هذه الموافقة التي نعطيها لهم لكي يتواجدوا ويتربحوا مشروطة بدعمهم لمطالبنا، فإذا جعلنا ممارستهم لأعمالهم التجارية مستحيلة بدون الحصول على موافقتنا، سيصبح من المستحيل عليهم ألا يوافقوا على ما نطالبهم به.
Increasingly, the super-rich are keeping their money in corporate shares; not in banks, not in real estate. What that means is that their money (the source of their power and influence) is right here, in our streets, at our fingertips. Corporations are nothing but the organized wealth-generating machines of the financial elite; those machines operate, and only can operate, with your approval, either explicitly or implicitly.
Surely, the elites know this. They must know that organizing their money through corporations amounts to hiding their money in plain sight; which they feel secure to do because you are distracted. Your attention is diverted by the decoys of governments and security forces, so you cannot see the massive vulnerabilities of the real existing power structure all around you. Their trucks and transport; their distribution centers, their factories, their storage facilities, their offices, their shops and stores and headquarters; their executive decision-makers and key staff; their supply chains and logistics providers; their wealth is sprawled out in front of you every day in an open-air vault, and it is within your power to drain that vault at any moment, in any location, in any number of ways.
Because again, yes, the truth is, they can only operate, and can only profit with our permission…this is something we have to recognize. Not only are we the consumers and the workers, but we are the citizens! Their trucks pass, because we let them pass. Their shops are open, because we do not close them. Their supply chains function because we allow them to; their offices and facilities operate because we choose to not shut them down. We are making this decision without knowing it; once we know it is a decision, we will realize how much power we have.
The purpose, as I have written repeatedly, is not to destroy the corporations or to drive them out of our counties. The point is to make our permission for their presence and the profitability of their operations conditional upon their support for our demands. If we make it impossible to do business without our permission, we will make it impossible for them to refuse us.
